COMPETITOR INFORMATION

Entries

• Entries close Thursday 12th March 2026 @ 5pm – no late entries or on the day entries will be accepted.
• Entries are confirmed once payment is received using this booking form.
• Competitors only receive free entry to the grounds.
• Upon arrival, please report directly to the Admin office located at the bottom of the grandstand to check in:
  • Confirm arrival and place in draw
  • Receive your competitor's wristband (must be worn)
  • Receive your competitor singlet
  • Confirm your bank details
  • Collect purchased hangi ticket if any (limited to 1 hangi sale per competitor)

Te Reo Māori

• All heats, semis and finals will commence in Te Reo Māori.
• Kaiwhakawā - Judges
• Kaiwhakataetae - competitors
• Kia rite – get set
• Tukua – go!

Prize money

• All prize money will be paid directly into the winners' bank accounts on the day.
• You will be required to provide your bank details to include: account name and number. This section is in the booking form for your entries. This must be completed.

The following grades and prize money will incur a tax deduction of the following:

• Senior grade 1st place winner of $20 tax deducted
• Te Whiringa senior circuit 1st place winner of $20 tax deducted
• Open grade 1st place winner of $100 tax deducted
• Open grade 2nd place winner of $20 tax deducted
• Speed shear 1st place winner of $300 tax deducted
• Speed shear 2nd place winner of $100 tax deducted

Speed shear competition OPEN GRADE ONLY

• 6pm-9pm in Marquee, followed by a function that concludes at 12.30am.
• All open speed shear competitors receive free entry to the event and function.
• Tickets for speed shear can be purchased in the booking form @ $50 or $60 on the day if any are available at the admin office.
• ALL PAID Speed shear tickets can be collected from the marquee ticket tent from 6pm

Competitor Hangi

• Hangi can be purchased by each competitor for $15. Please choose the hangi box in the booking form. Hangi to be collected at the Admin office from 1pm.

Competitor showers

• Shower facilities are made available this year (2 porta showers) for all competitors. These are located at the pony club building (where the grinder is located).
