Advanced Finewool Shearing 

There is an upcoming course going to be running in your region soon. Minimum numbers are required to run the course. Register your interest today and be the first to be notified when the course has been confirmed.

This is a three-day course open to those who have been shearing in the industry and have achieved the minimum of the "Blue Seal". The course will cover instruction and practical training in the following: 

• Health and Safety in the Industry and Woolshed environment

• Animal Welfare and Animal Handling 

• Team Work

• Comb selection and gear experting specific for finewool sheep types

• Machine and Handpiece Maintenance

• Grinding (sharpening) Combs and Cutters 

• A high level of instruction on the finewool shearing pattern, and helping improve quality and tallies

• Practical assessment for the National Certificate in Finewool Shearing
